the wedding chronicles: getting ready | pt. 1
here we are; 6 months ago to the day, i married by best friend (what i count to be the best day of my life) the day, as they always say, went by so fast. all the planning, stress, etc. leading up to it and it was over in the blink of an eye. i find myself missing our wedding so much, so it's always nice to look back through our photos and get that feeling back. i've decided to do a series/chronicles of our wedding. thanks to the amazingly talented tricia of tricia victoria photography we have a lifetime of memories in photos that we will forever cherish. this series is a story through photos, so the text will be minimal. enjoy, xo.
the dress: well, don't they always say that you'll never buy the dress you thought you would? that definitely happened to me. sleeves, lace and fitted was what i wanted, and i ended up with a strapless, sweetheart neckline, tulle gown. a day spent at the mall with my mama and sister and an impromptu visit to the bridal boutique, had me drawn to my beautiful gown. the moment i put on this essence of australia gown, i knew it was the one. i loved the unique colour, ivory on moscato tulle, it seemed to compliment my olive skin tone just perfectly.
my beloved daddy. how i wish he could have been there for my wedding day. his absence was painful but little pieces of him carried with me eased the pain. pictured here are my parents wedding rings and charm of my daddy, i attached them all to my bouquet and held him close to my heart.
and that my friends, concludes the first post in the wedding chronicles, stay tuned for pt. 2 of the men getting ready. as always, thanks again for reading, xo.
